Authenticity Card & Hallmark

A hallmark is used in Great Britain to stamp silver, gold, and platinum pieces that meet standards of purity and to indicate where, when, and by whom the piece was made. 

Pieces which a heavy enough for a Hallmark are stamped at Birmingham's Assay office in the historic Jewellery Quarter and are accompanied by an authenticity card.
